About Chris Lacey:

I have been a professional photographer, producer and director for over 20 years. Travelling the length and breadth of the UK, I have had the greatest of pleasures in photographing some of this country’s finest heritage properties.

From majestic and intriguing interiors and architectural gems, breath-taking landscapes, beautifully manicured and historically significant gardens, portraits, products and lifestyle photography.

My photography has been utilised in national magazines, books, guidebooks, advertising campaigns, exhibitions, and much more. As well as working as a photographer, I was also the Head of Photography for the National Trust for 18 years until 2021, where I directed photographic operations including the commissioning of many of the UK’s finest photographers, and acting as their lead photographer. Creating well over one million images, my work has helped inspire a nation to become members, and to visit their properties and support their cause.

Some of my many clients, who I have had the privilege to work with include; Leeds Castle, BMWi, Pavilion Books, The Rothschild Foundation, National Trust, National Trust Holidays, Longleat Safari Park House and Gardens, The Trussell Trust, The Open University, Waddesdon Manor, Hestercombe House and Gardens, The American Museum, The Holburne Museum, South West Outdoors Festiva, and Bath Museums Partnership.
