It’s been a busy start to 2022 at Leeds Castle. With beautiful sunshine to spouts of rain, frosty woodland walks, a stormy February half term, and the start of re-displaying the Castle to tell the story of Lady Baillie’s glamorous house parties in the 1930s.
With so much to experience and explore, we are starting a new bi-monthly series sharing our guest’s adventures!

Great experience will go again
January 2022
“Incredible breath-taking views. Castles grounds are vast and make a lovely walk for any keen Walker. Plenty of food outlets and their fish and chips speak for themselves when I say they are yummy.”

Our Leeds Castle Visit
January 2022
“A great place to take the kids for a day out. Plenty to do and see. We went round as part of the onsite hotel package. Walked round the castle in the morning and round the grounds in the afternoon. Not too packed although it is winter. There’s crazy golf, a fort, children’s play area, plenty of walks, education centre, dog collar exhibition, cafes, a maze, wild bird flying.”

Amazing Castle and more
January 2022
“Really an amazing castle all set on an island – very picturesque. Lots to keep you busy from crazy golf, the maze with a great subterranean grotto and even bird of prey. Plenty of space to walk around and enjoy the gardens. Easy parking and plenty of catering – prices pretty reasonable too.”

Something for the whole family
February 2022
“An absolutely fantastic place. Once through the door you could easily spend all day here, the estate had so much to explore. Perfect place to take children as they were catered for so well. The Castle was being renovated but that did not detract from the experience. We loved the maze and grotto but needed help to find our way out! Later in the year the gardens will be stunning.”

Historic and beautiful
February 2022
“A great attraction offering attractions for all ages, been a firm favourite as it’s a lovely place to go for a day out since my childhood. The Castle and history are well cared for by the Leeds Castle Trust set up by last owner Lady Baillie. Beautiful grounds with lots of activities for all ages and the amazing castle, a mix of Norman to the 30’s grandeur.”

Brilliant Day Out
February 2022
“Loved this castle! The gardens and castle are beautifully maintained. The castle itself is so interesting and well set out – I’d like to live there! Good value for money. We also ate there, and the prices were really reasonable – £8 for fish and chips, £5 for a breakfast bun with hot drink, and meal deals for whole families.”
