The new Leeds Castle website www.leeds-castle.com was launched this Easter 2016 and has attracted much attention not only from the Castle’s visitors, but also from experts within the digital industry, who have awarded the Castle with their top prize, the ‘Spirit of Kent’ award.
This award is handpicked by the Kent Digital Award team for going above and beyond the norm in the promotion and betterment of the county of Kent through their digital work. Through this award Leeds Castle is said to have excelled in attracting attention and interest into the county over a number of years through its digital work, in particular through its website which displays exemplary design, content and UX (user experience). Outstanding communication and information sharing on social media was also noted.
Sir David Steel, CEO of Leeds Castle said, “I am delighted for the marketing team here at Leeds Castle and our web agency, Rogue Interactive, who worked extremely hard to meet our objective to redesign the website and present extensive amounts of information in a clear, engaging and accessible fashion. This award is testament to that hard work supported by a 20 per cent increase in page views year on year*. Social media, through Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, continues to grow as we engage with our digital audience to reflect the range of attractions and events at the Castle.”
The Kent Digital Awards (KDA16) is the first and only scheme of its kind within the county and is now in its second year, following its great success since setting up in 2014. It is open to organisations from any industry that has business interests in Kent in order to recognise their online achievements.
