If you’ve missed getting out and enjoying wonderful open-air events with friends and family, 900-year old Leeds Castle is now taking bookings for some of the most exciting outdoor events in the county in 2021!
This year will see the return of the Leeds Castle Fireworks Spectacular, the biggest and best pyrotechnic display in the South East of England. This incredibly popular event combines fireworks to make you ‘oooh’ and ‘ahhh’ and music that you will want to sing and dance along to, whilst lighting up the night sky high above the historic Castle for two nights on the 6th and 7th November.
On the 10th July, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will once again take to the stage for the Leeds Castle Concert. Renowned conductor John Rigby will host this fantastic open-air classical concert which will this year include performances by Tim Hower of Mike and the Mechanics as well as a programme of world-class music, an emotive Spitfire flypast and an impressive fireworks finale.
Summer nights were made for cinema under the stars at Leeds Castle. On the 29th July ‘A Star is Born’ will be shown on an outdoor screen on the Castle lawn, enjoy a night fit for a Queen fan on 30th July watching ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ and carry a watermelon to ‘Dirty Dancing’ on 31st July. Bring a picnic and “may the force be with you” as ‘Star Wars: A New Hope’ comes to the Castle on 1st August.
The fun doesn’t end there as Rudyard Kipling’s ‘The Jungle Book’ comes to the Castle on 13th and 14th August. This larger-than-life fun musical adaptation will have the whole family howling with laughter, interacting with the characters dancing along to the show. Join Mowgli and his friends Baloo the bear and Bagheera the panther on this jungle adventure!
