Meet the ‘Christmas at the Castle’ Designer – Kirsty Harris

Kirsty Harris is an artist and maker specialising in installation and performative projects. She makes work that puts the audience at the centre of the experience and guides them to weave their story into the world around them. Kirsty transforms spaces so those who enter them can also be transformed, be it in a thought, an emotion, their view of the world, or just having some fun!

Kirsty makes immersive worlds and experiences in found environments, landscapes and theatres. She has made work for babies aged 2 months and all the ages that come after.

She is delighted to be back at Leeds Castle for Christmas this year, bringing some theatre magic through the woodland walk and the castle grounds. Kirsty hopes audiences find festive joy in these playful and, sometimes, noisy creations!

Kirsty has led design projects for organisations including The Royal Opera House, The National Theatre, The National Trust, Manchester Jewish Museum, Kensington Palace, Battersea Arts Centre (BAC), National Theatre Wales, The Museum of London, Scarborough Museum and Gallery, The Wilson Gallery Cheltenham and others.
