Meet the Designer of Christmas at Leeds Castle

This Christmas, Leeds Castle invites you to embrace the unexpected with a stunning display of
alternative festive trees brought out of the Castle and into the grounds.

As you continue along the woodland pathway through the Princess Alexandra Gardens, discover
enchanting wooden cabins featuring bespoke trees made from materials inspired by the Castle’s
glorious state rooms.

‘Embrace the Unexpected’ was created in response to a year that has been anything but expected!
Instead of traditional Christmas trees, this year’s alternative trees were designed to take pride of
place in the castle’s beautiful state rooms. Made from wood, fabric and paper they are inspired by
the castle rooms and their stories, crafting the features of the rooms into unique Christmas trees.
As we approached December we were still uncertain whether visitors would be able to step inside
the Castle this Christmas, therefore we decided to bring the trees outside to you!
