Julie Grose

Mainly working to commission, I thrive on creating works of both sculptural and functional projects. For the past eighteen years, metal has been the material I have used. Hot and cold techniques allow a variety of shapes and forms to be created and steel offers almost limitless possibilities. I have always loved the journey of creating a piece from its conception to its completion and hope to continue on doing so using metal all way!

Inspiration

The pieces on display here demonstrate various methods of creation but all of them have flow and energy. Nature is a key inspiration for me and the pieces on display reflect that. I do not look to copy what I see in nature, rather to depict a stylised version of it.
