A Narnia Christmas at Leeds Castle

A Narnia Christmas At Leeds Castle

Join us for our enchanting Christmas experience in the Castle, bringing the beloved story of “The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe” to life. From 25th November 2023 to 1st January 2024, the whole family will embark on a magical journey through the wardrobe as they take in the wonder of Christmas in Narnia.

Discover the beloved characters, including Aslan The Great Lion and the treasured fawn, Mr Tumnus, as they overcome the White Witch to experience Christmas and the promise of springtime.

Decoration of the unique interiors will transform the Castle to retell this classic and nostalgic children’s story in festive and enchanting detail, with displays that will delight adults and children alike, all inspired by original book illustrations.

Groups Catering & Dwell Time Facilities

We understand the importance of making the most of your time, so we provide ample dwell time for groups to explore the castle grounds at your own pace. Take your time to marvel at the stunning decorations, snap photos at every turn, and soak in the festive joy that fills the air.

New for 2023 we are launching our groups catering and entertainment zone on the Cedar Lawn. As dusk falls, you will gather overlooking the glorious Castle to enjoy festive snacks, hot drinks and a bar in the fair light festooned stretched tent. What’s more, there will be traditional fairground rides including a full sized carousel and helta-skelta lighthouse.

At the main entrance, where the light trail begins, our take away café will serve hot drinks and snacks, and the Visitor Centre will remain open for you to enjoy some Christmas shopping with our unique and locally sourced product ranges, where you will be sure to find something for all your loved ones.

Our facilities are designed with your comfort in mind. We offer accessible entrances, restrooms, and seating areas throughout the site to ensure everyone can enjoy the magic of Christmas at Leeds Castle. Our friendly staff will be on hand to assist you with any queries or requirements you may have.

Christmas Lights at Leeds Castle

Returning for its second year, an all-new reimagined, magical Christmas trail featuring enchanting illuminations and Christmas music will fill the air and light up the glamorous and historic Leeds Castle!

This year the light trail has 80% new installations including a larger light and laser show projected onto the Castle and reflected on the beautiful surrounding moat.

There will be a glimpse of Father Christmas along the way, and opportunities to toast marshmallows over a roaring fire and have a tipple from the festive bar selling hot chocolate and mulled wine. The route is entirely on permanent pathways and whilst there are a couple of shallow inclines the majority of the route is flat and accessible by wheelchair. We have accessible toilets at the entrance to the trail and a Changing Places toilet half way round the route.

Please note: The Christmas Lights is a special ticketed event and not included within day admission group rates.

Thank you for your impeccable organisation of our visit during which we had the opportunity to have lunch at ‘Castle View Restaurant’ and to visit the Castle and the gardens. Thank you to the efficient way of organising our group of more than 60 people into the Castle grounds in good time. We were impressed by the speed the food was served at the tables. The Fish and chips and the Sticky toffee pudding were just great!

De Netezonen

Just wanted to say a big thank you for organising our visit to Leeds Castle. Our members very much enjoyed their visit to the Castle, lunch and garden tour. We were also fortunate to have good weather! Andrew and David (Leeds Castle Gardeners) gave us a good understanding of their plans for the gardens and their knowledge of plants. A most enjoyable day!

Arts Society

I have had nothing but complements about every aspect of Leeds Castle. From the gentleman on the gate, the guides wherever we went, the café staff, not forgetting the excellent food, everything just made a perfect day. Thank you all very much.

Ickworth House

I would just like to say thank you very much for our Club Adria group visit. All the Club Adria members had a great time even though the weather was not the best it could have been! We were looked after very well; we had one disabled lady with us who ended up for much of the visit to the actual Castle with her own guide – this was a lovely touch – great for her. The history of Leeds Castle is quite incredible.
