Gift Aid Awareness Day

Today is Gift Aid Awareness Day, and we would like to thank you for ticking the box ✔️

Through the quick and simple act of clicking a button, you are giving more vital funds to the Leeds Castle Charitable Foundation.

The aim of the foundation is to preserve the Castle, its collections and interiors, and the estate for the benefit of the public.

To achieve this, there is an ongoing programme of maintenance and restoration of this magnificent 12th Century Castle that requires expertise, care and of course, funds. All profits go towards this aim and Gift Aid plays a big role in supporting the project’s funding.

We are extremely grateful to each and every donor who contributes and ticks the box.

What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid is a scheme available for charities to claim extra funds from HMRC. Charities can claim an extra 25p for every £1 donated. It means the value of your donation increases by 25%, at no extra cost to you, so you can give even more to the causes you care about.

How you can add Gift Aid to your donation?

It’s simple, you only need to tick the box. That’s it.

Did you know?

Gift Aid is worth around £1.3bn to the UK charity sector each year. It’s a phenomenal amount, but it could be even more. Every year, around £560m goes unclaimed.

Gift Aid Awareness Day wants to see that amount reduce by encouraging every eligible donor to tick the box and support charities so they don’t miss out on a single potential claim.

So please tick the box to make your donation go that bit further… 25% further to be precise.
